Aamir Khan has kick-started shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor, along with the team, recently traveled to start shooting for the next leg of the movie. Now, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have finished the shoot of a romantic song of the film in Chandigarh.

Immediately after that, the team has now traveled to Amritsar for another eight-day shooting schedule. Laal Singh Chaddha will be shot in over a hundred different locations across India.
The film has already piqued the interest of his fans ever since Aamir's first look was out. Dressed in a turban-clad sitting in a train bogie. He had an innocent smile on his face, holding a box of mithai has already taken the internet by storm with his never before seen look.
Written by Atul Kulkarni, the film is helmed by Advait Chandan and will be produced by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions. Laal Singh Chaddha is slated to hit the theatres during Christmas 2020, next year.

However, Madhavan took to his Twitter to deny any association with the project. Just today, Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter to announce the same project, titled Durgavati.

The project stars Bhumi Pednekar in and as Durgavati, a scary thriller that is going to keep you at the edge of your seats. The film will go on floors mid-January, 2020 with Akshay Kumar’s A Cape Of Good Films and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series as the presenters. Durgavati will be produced by Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment and is being directed by Ashok G.
Akshay took to his Twitter to share the news with his fans along with a picture, take a look.

Two years after he launched an insurance scheme for Bollywood's stuntmen, the actor once again rushed to the aid of two stunt artistes who were recently injured. Bittoo and Hari Singh, members of senior action director Sham Kaushal's stunt team, were injured during the rehearsals for a song launch from Good Newwz in Chandigarh. Though Kumar was not present at the scene, the actor along with Karan Johar promptly arranged for an air ambulance to fly one of them down to Mumbai for necessary medical treatment.

Recounting the accident that occurred on Tuesday, Kaushal says, “The film’s production team wanted to do a rehearsal, for which I sent three members of my team. It was important to check if the wire work was smooth and performing the stunt was a safe proposition. As part of the stunt, two of them, Bittoo and Hari Singh, were attached to the winch machine and were performing stunts mid-air. But during the second round of rehearsals, the machine collapsed due to a technical malfunction and the boys had a freefall from a height of nearly 10-12 feet.”
When the on-ground production team rushed the two men to the nearest hospital, it was discovered that Bittoo had suffered a shock to his spine. “The other lad, who hails from Chandigarh, was discharged the next day," says Kaushal, adding that when word of Bittoo's injury reached Kumar, he made arrangements for him to be brought to Mumbai so that he could avail the best medical care. “Akshay paaji was at a shoot in Hyderabad but was keeping a constant check on the boys. On Friday, he and Karan’s team arranged for an air ambulance for Bittoo so that he could be flown down to Mumbai. He has now been advised 2 months of bed rest,” says Kaushal, adding that it was graceful of Kumar and Johar to stand by the community in their hour of need.

Says the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, “If the movie happens to be on the lines of what we have seen in the trailer, it is extremely shocking depiction of Hindu deities and sadhus and also goes at great lengths to humiliate and poke fun at the basic foundations of Sanatana Dharma.”
However, it is unlikely that the aforementioned visuals will be removed from the film. A source close to Dabangg 3 says, “The song and its visuals have been cleared by the censor board. There is nothing scandalous or improper about Sadhus dancing. They do so quite often in real life. This is one more example of niche religious organizations trying to gain publicity by fastening their fortunes to a huge franchise. There will be no compromise on this issue.”
Sources say Prabhu Dheva who directs the film and has choreographed the song is trying to wrap his head around the controversy.
“During Ram Leela and Dussehra, there’s a tradition of folks dressed up as the Gods singing and dancing. How is this wrong?” wonders a source close to Prabhu Dheva.
The CBFC is unlikely to entertain the demand of the fundamentalists.

Looks like, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are keeping their promise intact. The duo is all set to come back with Golmaal 5 that goes on floors next year. Even though the female lead has not been locked in yet, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemmu, and Mukesh Tiwari will be reprising their roles as regulars.
Ajay Devgn was extremely enthusiastic about the fifth film while speaking to a leading tabloid and said, "Rohit and I have discussed and are committed to doing our next installment of Golmaal. The franchise is not only the longest-running one in Hindi cinema, but it also happens to be one of my favorites because like we said in one of our earliest films in this series, it’s fun unlimited."

Anil D. Ambani led Reliance Entertainment is all set to produce the official Hindi remake of Paula Hawkins’ 2015 runaway bestseller, 'The Girl On The Train'. The book was also adapted into a Hollywood film by Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks Pictures and received a warm reception at the US box office.
The film will now be clashing with Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Singh’s film Dil Bechara which is a remake of Hollywood film The Fault In Our Stars.

The actor produced the 2018 Bollywood film Loveyatri which was accused of hurting sentiments.

Several private criminal complaints were filed in 2018 against the movie alleging that its name has hurt the religious sentiment of the Hindus. The film which was earlier named Loveratri, but was changed to Loveyatri by the producers keeping in mind that earlier name sounded like Navratri.
The film marked the acting debut of Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain. The film directed by Abhiraj Minawala also starred Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles. Arbaaz and Sohail Khan had a special appearance in the film.

There has been a debate about whether young actors should be essaying older characters, whether fair-skinned actors should play characters with dark shade or even if hiring cisgender people for transgender roles is suitable or not.

Ayushmann Khurrana who has delivered seven hits back-to-back has a rather interesting perspective on this debate. The actor in an interview with a daily said that an actor is always looking forward to something which is different and which is not really them on screen. He said that if the same logic is applied, an actor will never be able to play a cricketer.
He said that people will question why a real cricketer was not taken or why not cast someone who is balding. Ayushmann Khurrana recently went bald for his character in Bala. The actor said that he is someone with a great hairline and so he is the worst candidate for this role.
On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana has played the role of a small-town guy in several of his films including Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, and Bareilly Ki Barfi. The actor said that if that logic is applied he would never able to play a small-town guy as the actor is a convent educated urban guy. Ayushmann said that actors are always looking for roles that make them push their boundaries not just in terms of acting skills but also in the way they look.
The Vicky Donor actor who has done the maximum number of films that have a social message said that at the end of the day, the message and intent of the film should be correct. When asked whom he looks up to as his inspiration, he said that he looks up to Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. He said that both the actors are extremely talented and inspire him.

Several people on social media pointed out the similarities between Panipat and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani. The makers also got slammed with a legal notice from Peshwa Bajirao's descendant for objectionable dialogue.

Director Ashutosh Gowariker during a promotional event urged people to watch the historical drama before forming perceptions about the film. The filmmaker said that after watching the film, people will realize that it has been made with honest intent and that it is all good in the film.
After this statement by Ashutosh, the makers were served legal notices by Nawabzada Shadab Ali Bahadur -- an eighth-generation descendant of Peshwa Bajirao. Film's producers Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar, and director Ashutosh Gowariker over a certain dialogue that actress Kriti Sanon as Parvati Bai delivers in the film.
In the dialogue, Kriti is heard saying, “Maine suna hai Peshwa jab akele muhim par jaate hain to ek Mastani ke saath laut te hain (I have heard that whenever the Peshwa goes to the war alone, he returns with a Mastani).” The descendant, as the report claims, finds it inappropriate and believes that this would not only paint Mastani Sahiba in a bad picture but is also not respectful towards the Peshwa. He also added that Mastani wasn’t just another woman in the Peshwa’s life but was his wife.

Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar did complete justice to the stories of Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar.

If the latest reports are to be believed, then Taapsee Pannu has been signed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his next project. Taapsee will be seen playing a double role in the film and is being said to be titled Sia Jia. While there are no confirmations from the team about this project, if things fall in place, it will go on floors next year. There aren’t any reports as to what the plot of the film might be but it is being said to be quite a different one from the rest. Sia Jia will be co-produced by Shabina Khan.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently occupied with Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi.

The edge-of-the-seat thriller will see Rani in a race against time to capture a brutal serial rapist who systematically targets women. And, we hear, for a particular chase sequence, Rani overcame hydrophobia to hunt down her cold-blooded nemesis.

Rani reveals saying, "There was a scene in the film that required me to do an underwater action sequence. When I heard it for the first time during the script narration from Gopi I was quite disturbed because honestly, I have fear of water as I actually do not know how to swim. From childhood, I have the fear of getting into the pool. All my life I have tried several times to be able to get myself to swim but unfortunately, I have not been successful. The first thing I asked Gopi after the narration got over is how important is the underwater sequence, is it very imperative for the film or whether we can do without it. To my utter shock, Gopi said that it cannot be changed and he would like to shoot the sequence underwater and he would prefer not changing it."
She adds, "I realised that it was going to be a huge challenge for me going forward with the film to do this particular underwater sequence. Doing an underwater shot is still ok if they are just beauty shots as one can still manage it however doing action underwater gets very challenging. I spoke to Gopi and gradually told him that unfortunately, his lead actor does not know to swim and he was utterly shocked. He was then in a dilemma of how this sequence is ever going to take place. I requested Gopi to keep the underwater sequence as the last thing that we will shoot for the film so I could get time to practice swimming and also try to get rid of my fear."
Rani took the time to practice swimming. She says, "We finished shooting the film in June and because I was so scared to even attempt doing the underwater sequence I kept delaying the practice sessions and then we kind of reached September/October. Everybody started to panic and said that now we are at a deadline and we have to shoot it. I guess since we were that close to the deadline I knew that there was no other option but to shoot in October as the rains had also stopped and this was the only window for us to shoot. I mustered courage and started going for my swimming lessons."
Rani further elaborates saying, "I luckily got an amazing coach Anees Adenwala, he trained me so well and was absolutely wonderful. He actually eased me in water and I realised that at this point if I don't get rid of my water phobia I would never in life and this film gave me a great chance to tackle the demon in my life of not being able to swim. I practiced with him and he trained me for the underwater sequence. We shot the sequence in Khopoli where the military people train. It’s a 30 feet pool which is very deep. They had to make the pool look like we are in the middle of the Chambal river where the sequence is actually taking place. It was a night sequence, it was very dark. Everyone was shocked as I actually managed to do it. I am pretty proud of myself today that I dealt with my demon which is the fear of water and I overcame it through this shoot. I am glad that Gopi put this sequence in the film because I have finally overcome my fear of water and now I can gladly swim in a pool if not in the sea."
Mardaani 2 focusses on the rise of violent crimes by juveniles in India and has definitely sparked a conversation on the threat it poses to young girls. Rani is reprising the role of the fearless and committed Superintendent of Police, Shivani Shivaji Roy in the film. She had delivered a knock-out performance in the superhit and hugely acclaimed prequel, Mardaani, in which she took on the kingpin of a child trafficking racket.
Produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 2 will be Rani’s next release which is set to hit theatres on 13th December.

Recently, while talking at a session at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Rohit Shetty spoke about the work pattern of Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. Rohit Shetty has directed Ajay Devgn in several films including the Golmaal and Singham franchise. He worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express and Dilwale.
“Their working pattern is the same. Both are very hard working. I have never seen a day when Shah Rukh or Ranveer (Singh) or Ajay come on set and say that they are tired. You will see them sitting in one corner and rehearsing their lines. Where they are today is because of the sincerity towards their work, and because they never took for granted the notion that they are stars,” Rohit Shetty said while talking about the working style of Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan.
He further said, “I have done so many films with Ajay, but even today when he has a long scene or a dramatic scene or an emotional scene, you will see him rehearsing with my assistant director. The same goes with Shah Rukh.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rohit Shetty is currently directing his upcoming film Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.

Raid director Raj Kumar Gupta mourned the aged actor's death on Twitter. "Very sad to hear about the passing away of Pushpa Joshi ji. One of the highlights of my directing career was watching you perform in RAID. You were a live wire on and off the sets. Wherever you are you will be smiling and spreading happiness Dadi ji. We will miss you. RIP," he wrote.

This is why she’s being kept under observation,” says a dependable source. Lataji now converses with close family members who are allowed to visit her. “She is still not allowed visitors, and she’s getting restless for this,” says a source close to the family.
At home the Mangeshkar family-member who is missing her the most is her pet canine Sabaa. “The rest of the family is waiting for her to return. But the dog is unable to understand where Didi has disappeared to,” says a family source.

Bollywood Hungama was first to break the news that the film will be led by Meezaan Jaffrey, Pranitha Subhash, and Shilpa Shetty.

Hungama 2 won't be a continuation of the 2010 hit but it will be a fresh storyline. Shilpa Shetty will essay the role of a glamourous, career-oriented woman who somehow becomes a part of a hilarious misunderstanding. She loved the role and jumped on the opportunity.
Priyadarshan admits that it took him so many years to work with Shilpa Shetty but he is looking forward to it. The actress is paired opposite Paresh Rawal in this comic caper. They've named it Hungama 2 due to hilarious misunderstandings and confusion that arise which have the element of Hungama.

Some have liked it whereas slammed the makers for keeping a dialogue on marital rape. After backlash on social media, the actors and makers apologized for hurting the sentiments and revealed that they have removed the bit from the film.

When the trailer came out, Kartik Aaryan’s character Chintu Tyagi was seen ranting about his sex deprived life to his friend played by Aparshakti Khurrana. Kartik is saying, “Biwi se sex maang lein toh hum bikhaari. Biwi ko sex na de toh hum atyachaari. Aur kisi tarah jugaad laga ke usse sex haasil kar lena toh balaatkari bhi hum hai. (If we ask our wives for sex then we’re called beggars, if we deny them sex then we’re called torturers, and if we coerce them into having sex with us, we’re called rapists).
While Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar admitted that it was a lapse of judgement when it came to the scene, Mudassar Aziz said the outrage was without even understanding the context. “A lot of people said the dialogue insinuated that marital rape is ok. What’s the line? A man seems to be saying ‘If I do this I’m called this, if I do that I’m called this also.’ Ninety-nine percent of men in the country do not even know when they are committing marital rape. Coming back home after work and waking up a sleeping wife, even if you indulge in foreplay, that’s not consent. A filmmaker presents that line in a film, everyone starts to tell him to remove that word from the film," Mudassar Aziz said.
He further talked about the reactions and how he took the backlash. "I laughed at it for two reasons. There's a term in the English language that got coined centuries ago when guns came out and it's called trigger happy. I think we belong to a generation that is finger happy. 'There's something that's come out, I have to react to it. This country is working because I'm reacting. If I don't react then, this country would shut down.' This is a part of the finger happy generation. This finger happy generation is not waiting to understand what is happening, what is the context of it. The trailer is good but they won't write about it. That person will be the first one to watch the film but typing out the issue is more important at that moment. The dialogue said is in what context, a person who thinks like that what happens to him and what is the result of it - should i watch it first and then pass a judgement? No. They have fingers and they will go and say it and it's free," he said.
The makers removed the part from the film and even reshot some portions of the song 'Dilbara' within 24 hours earlier this week. "Coming to the removal part, we have to understand a slightly more collaborative way that on one side you are saying you want to create awareness but a filmmaker is not able to say the rape. But, you are talking about rape awareness. How are you going to do it? If you don't define it then how is it going to happen? And going beyond that if someone says the word Balatkar 25 times, but you'll laugh so much in the scene. Then someone wants to talk about something relevant, then you find this as a past time. That's not how we should do these things. Otherwise, if we are doing such things, we need to talk about it so the future generation is aware. Today, according to me, even a 12-year-old should know what is rape and even a 15-year-old should know the definition of consent backwards. Before touching another boy, girl, man woman or child, they should be aware of what consent is. If you are not going to talk about it then we'll stay in the caves as long as you want. You are not going to find a solution."
Pati Patni Aur Woh is set to release on December 6, 2019.

The makers wanted a fresh pair for the film to keep the mystery intact. Some portions will be shot in the North though they are yet to decide on the locations. They want to keep it authentic since the story is set in North. It will be directed by Vinil Matthews, who helmed Hasee Toh Phasee six years ago.
Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu has many projects in the pipeline including Thappad, Rashmi Rocket, Anurag Kashyap's horror film, a South venture among others. Vikrant Massey, on the other hand, is currently shooting for Ginni Weds Sunny and has Chhapaak release next year.

Asked about the controversy, Kartik Aaryan said they removed it immediately after the backlash. He said, "When the trailer came, we realised that we shouldn't hurt anyone and should remove it immediately. Usually, this doesn't happen in films. We took responsibility because it might have come across as something that wasn't our intention. We realized we shouldn't use that word (rape) at all so we have rectified it and made changes because we don't want to hurt people's sentiments."
"We didn't realize it when we were doing it. We had shown it to a lot of people, but no one had pointed it out. We didn't want to hurt anyone's sentiments. This isn't the topic of our film nor was this our intention," he added.

Bhumi Pednekar too said that it was a lapse of judgement and they rectified it. "See, honestly, I don't know what is the right way to put it but this was the lack of judgement. I've said this time and again that this film is empowering to both the genders. The idea was never to hurt anybody's sentiments. Nobody attached to the film belongs to the school of thought that we will a part of anything sexist. Especially, the line of work that I've done, I've always gone out there and done everything possible to empower my gender. So, it was a lapse of judgment, we've gone ahead and apologized and rectified it," Bhumi Pednekar said.

"When you make a film, it comes with a great responsibility. I really need to applaud the makers because they could have easily said 'No! This is only twitterati that is giving us so much backlash. We will keep this in our film because the masses like it. These things work.' But, they didn't do that. They thought this is doesn't work in favour of the film's messaging. Of course, you add a lot of things for humour. We don't have to intellectualize everything but sometimes you have to draw a line somewhere. And if you cross the line then you should have the guts to rectify. That's why a big applaud to the makers of the film," she added.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Pati Patni Aur Woh is set to release on December 6, 2019.

The film centers on the concept of IVF and also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.

At the event, Akshay Kumar spoke about how they have taken an important issue and tried to present it in a commercial way. He said, “IVF ki vajah se 8 million babies have come in this world. There are so many families who cannot have babies and because of this technology, it has come out in such a good way. Through this film, we are bringing this serious subject thoda commercially to the audience."
Meanwhile, the song, ‘Chandigarh Mein’ which was shot on a lavish set in Mumbai with the four actors, has been sung by Badshah and Harrdy Sandhu. Keeping in with the name of the track, it will be launched today in Chandigarh by Akshay, Kiara, Badshah, Harrdy and Tanishk Bagchi. The creators of the song are confident that it has all the makings of a party anthem.

The actor, who updates his Tumblr blog every day about his life, said that his body is asking him to retire.

Amitabh Bachchan is currently in Manali shooting for the upcoming film Brahmastra. Talking about the town he was shooting in, the actor wrote, "Tranquil .. essence of the freshness .. the winter feel, the purity hopefully of the air .. and a rest after 5am to now .. there is great humility and joy of felicitations en route .. the simplicity of the smaller town reigns supreme .. as does the generous hospitality .. we can never match their honesty and simplicity."
Talking about his health, he said, “another new environ and another readjustment to room and its accoutrements”, the actor added, “I must retire .. the head is thinking something else and the fingers another .. its a message.”
Amitabh Bachchan recently wrapped up the shoot of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 11. The actor who has multiple films lined is also filming for Chehre and Gulaabo Sitabo. The actor is currently shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra along with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Few weeks ago, the actor in his blog wrote, “The tunnel at the NSSH .. indeed several tunnels and some more probing with the meter in hand that sonographs .. a few on the side injectables .. at various locations on this mine field of a body .. some venus strips punctured and the fluids dripped in .. a few hard core instructions to follow .. and back to the grind, despite the stethoscope dressed messengers from heaven giving strong warnings of work cut off .. or else…”

First, the internet pointed out how the costumes used in Panipat were visibly similar to those shown in Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's Bajirao Mastani. Now, a day before its release, the film has landed amid a more serious controversy.

Reportedly, Nawabzada Shadab Ali Bahadur, who happens to be the eighth-generation descendant of Peshwa Bajirao, has objected to a dialogue mouthed by Kriti, as shown in the trailer. Kriti is heard saying, "Maine suna hai Peshwa jab akele muhim par jaate hain to ek Mastani ke saath laut te hain (I have heard that whenever the Peshwa goes to the war alone, he returns with a Mastani).” The descendant, as the report claims, finds it inappropriate and believes that this would not only paint Mastani Sahiba in a bad picture but is also not respectful towards the Peshwa. He also added that Mastani wasn't just another woman in the Peshwa's life but was his wife.
Bahadur has reportedly also sent a legal notice to the makers asking them to remove the dialogue, and is ready to move to the court if he doesn't receive a response.
We are yet to come across a response from either the actors or director Ashutosh Gowariker on the same.

This fact is not being divulged by the film’s team including leading man Yash and Raveena herself. Says a source close to the team, “Portraying any real politician is a very big risk these days. More often than not, you have a whole lot of disapproving protesting masses who want to stop the film.”

So Raveena is very quietly studying Mrs Gandhi’s mannerisms and trying to imbibe them. Says a source, “She won’t imitate Mrs Gandhi. That would look very cheap and unconvincing on screen. She has seen the way Mrs Gandhi has been played in recent films. She would rather do it her own way.”
Raveena has played a politician before in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Satta. “But this time she will play it in an entirely different way. Her character will take on Sanjay Dutt. They will play friends turns enemies,” informs a source.
Raveena remains one of the busiest actresses of her generation. Besides serving as one of the judges on the popular dance reality show Nach Baliye, and playing an important role in KGF 2, she is mother to two biological and adoptive children. “How do I manage all of this? Don’t ask. It’s all about time management. I really believe there’s nothing that you can’t do if you want to. And if you say you can’t find the time to do something, then you don’t really want to do it.”

The superstar played a dwarf in this film and despite the novelty, Aanand L Rai’s direction and stellar star cast, the film failed miserably, not even crossing Rs. 100 crore mark. It was a twin setback for SRK as his previous flick Jab Harry Met Sejal had similarly bombed. Shah Rukh Khan hence went in an introspection mode and decided to take his time in signing his next. Thankfully for him, various filmmakers were still desperate to cast him and he was inundated with film offers. It was expected that he’ll sign and announce his next film within six months of Zero’s release.

But as one can see, it’s been almost a year and there are no signs of any announcement by Shah Rukh Khan regarding his upcoming film. However that doesn’t mean he hasn’t shown interest in any film at all. Bollywood Hungama was the first Bollywood portal to reveal exclusively that he’s all set to sign popular Tamil director Atlee’s next film, an out-and-out masala actioner. Meanwhile, he also showed tremendous interest in blockbuster director Rajkumar Hirani’s next film. It was expected that SRK will start work on Atlee’s next anytime.
But now reports are pouring in that Shah Rukh Khan has signed a film that will be directed by director duo Raj Nidimoru-Krishna DK, also known as Raj-DK. Not just that, the reports claim that this will be the film that SRK will act in first. It’s expected to be a grand film and what’s more, the script, the title and even the actress of the film has been finalized, as per the claim. Lastly, reports say that the film is expected to go on floors in early 2020 and if all goes well, it might release next year itself or in 2021.
Raj-DK had no background in filmmaking and were based in USA. Their first film in Bollywood, 99, released in 2009 and was loved and noticed for its quirky humour and interesting characters. This was also seen in their other films like Shor In The City and Go Goa Gone. They were the writers and producers of last year’s surprise super-hit Stree. Earlier this year, they got a lot of appreciation for their web series The Family Man, starring Manoj Bajpayee as an undercover secret agent.

From next week, he starts prep for his John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar starrer, Satyameva Jayate 2. Milap gives us some exclusive information on when he begins shoot for his next vigilante cop drama which releases on Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) and how John will up the ante with what kind of action!

Milap says that, after a short holiday with his family this week to Dubai, he begins work immediately on his next movie, Satyameva Jayate 2. “The script is ready and I start prep (including designing the action and music composition) on it after I return. We begin shooting for Satyameva Jayate 2 from March-April next year and release the movie on Gandhi Jayanti.”
Explaining why they want to release it on October 2, Milap says, “It’s a huge national holiday and the film is extremely patriotic. The story has a certain discussion on debate and discussion on violence and non-violence. John is a vigilante fighting against corruption in the country. It’s not a carryover from the last Satyameva Jayate but with a fresh story. As vigilantes resort often to violence because they take justice in their own hands and Gandhiji is a symbol of non-violence, so that discussion is there in the film and that’s why we felt October 2 is such a great day for the film to release on. There will be respectful references to Gandhiji. Violence and non-violence cannot exist as thoughts without each other. John plays a cop as is pictured in the poster but there are more twists and turns in SJ 2. I have to live up to my moniker - Milap Mass Zaveri as people feel I cater to the massy audiences who love my movies. John jumped with joy and hugged me after I narrated the script to him. He said it’s one of the best scripts that he has heard.”
Milap plans to make John push the envelope further with some raw and real action. “Scale wise, it’s far bigger than the first one. I have to tear bigger things than tyres with him. My first challenge is what can John tear or break or smash now as in SJ he ripped a tyre apart? We are upping the ante in action which will be three times more than Satyameva Jayate and Marjaavaan. We are getting a great action team together as it will have bigger action than any of my films. It will be desi, powerful, heroic. This time John will rip a lot of other things. I make films which are desi and have the heart of India.”
Producer Bhushan Kumar’s wife Divya Khosla Kumar makes her comeback with Milap’s movie. “People feel that Bhushanji told us to take her but it’s a fallacy because in fact we (Nikkhil Advani, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and me) approached him and her. Bhushan told us that people shouldn’t think that he had told us. Divya will be one of the strengths of the movie and a surprise. I think she’s very talented and I am very excited that she has chosen to make her comeback with our movie. We had heard that she wanted to act again and we had seen some short films and music videos of hers. The character in the film has a lot of dignity, poise, beauty and power and she loved the plot, her scenes and accepted it immediately after we gave her a narration.”
For Milap, it’s been a surreal feeling giving back-to-back hits with Satyameva Jayate and now Marjaavaan. “Both are mass films where I am not trying to please just one particular type of audience. I took a conscious decision that I want to make movies for the masses as they are the most loyal audience. My audience is the people working hard on the streets trying to make ends meet. You feel satisfied and that your conviction has paid off in what you make.”
He feels happy that his lead actors Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria and best friend Shaad Randhawa have got their due. “It feels good to see all these underdogs (Sidharth, Tara and Shaad) become bull dogs. Everybody told me that Sidharth doesn’t have an action hero image. I wanted the masses to come for him and the opening we got was one of Sidharth’s biggest ever. Shaad’s getting the whistles and claps for his dialogues. Marjaavaan worked for two reasons – the love story and the midget who is the villain (Riteish Deshmukh). I didn’t have the VFX budget of a Zero so the challenge was how to make it in a lesser budget and still make it impactful. Luckily, that gamble paid off well. I must give credit to Bhushanji for the songs and music he has given. His conviction paid off. Nikhhil stood by me so I could stick by my convictions and made the movie that I wanted to make. Bhushanji went all out with the music and promotions.”

The actor was shooting late-night for Zhejiang TV’s reality show Chase Me where contestants participate in several sports and are pitted against each other. He was 35.

“I am deeply saddened by the news. Godfrey was not only a client at one point but, more importantly, a friend. We will miss him dearly, and our hearts go out to his family, especially his parents," said Andrew Ooi, his friend and former manager at Echelon Talent.

"In the early hours of Nov. 27, our beloved Godfrey collapsed while filming on set. Following three hours of rescue efforts, he, unfortunately, left us. We are very shocked and saddened and even until now find it impossible to accept. Thank you media friends and every fan of Godfrey’s for their concern. His management and team were present and his family were urgently rushed to the location,” the statement continued. “Please respect Godfrey’s family in this time of sorrow and refrain from disturbing them. We will accompany Godfrey’s family to handle discreet funeral arrangements. Thank you, everyone," his team wrote in a statement.

Godfrey Gao rose to fame as a model after he became the first Asian man to model for Louis Vuitton in 2011. He grew up in Vancouver, Canada. He starred in a Chinese drama in 2016 called Remembering Wang Lichuan. He appeared in Hollywood film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in 2013 alongside Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower.

Jamie took to Instagram to share a photo with Gao as he remembered his friend. “our friend. Heartbroken,” Jamie captioned the photo.

After a few days in the hospital, she desired to come back home and passed away a day or two upon returning, owing to various age-related ailments. On Tuesday evening, the family decided to get together and celebrate her life.

The event took place at Juhu's Jalaram Hall and was attended by family members Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Baba Azmi, Tanvi Azmi, and also actors including Aamir Khan, Kajol and Tabu as well as Ashutosh Gowariker and David Dhawan, among others. Shaukat, whose most notable performance was in the iconic Mughal-E-Azam, was fond of classical music and the family decided to begin the function with a classical music programme.
This was followed by Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar going down the memory lane, sharing moments of unfiltered joy from the past. Through a slideshow, her journey and the most memorable moments, accompanied by pictures, were shown as well.
Shaukat, the wife of renowned Urdu poet Kaifi Azmi, appeared in over a dozen films and various critically acclaimed plays. She was last seen in Shaad Ali's 2002 film Saathiya.

The actor, who is promoting Panipat, recently called out the trolls who have been targeting his film and the character, Maratha warrior Sadashiv Rao Bhau.

A surge of memes emerged on social media after the trailer was unveiled. When asked how he reacts to such trolling, he said, “You make fun of me, I am here today I won’t be tomorrow. But if you’re making fun of this film, you’re making fun of people who have sacrificed themselves for India. I don’t see anyone making fun of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, I’ve never seen a meme on Subhas Chandra Bose. But I’m seeing memes on Sadashivrao Bhau and nobody says anything about it.”
He further added, “These people were martyrs. Nobody has stood up and said this (memes) is uncouth and rude. I feel it’s sad we are allowing it to happen. I will crack jokes on myself. I don’t have any issues. If you crack jokes on me, I am used to it, you’re making fun of me because I’m relevant. I’ve laughed at many of these in the past. The sad part is the character, the film which is being made fun of, that’s unfair.”
Arjun Kapoor further said that the reason there is so much trolling is because no one knows about who Sadashivrao was and the story. “If you were taught this story from childhood, you’d have agreed that these characters shouldn’t be made fun of. I will laugh a million times over jokes on myself. But there’s no balance on social media today, it has become derogatory and negative.”
When asked why the assumption that if the trolling is against the character in the film it also means they are disrespecting the historical figure. To this, Arjun said, “There’s an extremist take on criticism. Interpretation is a must… There’s nothing wrong in being critical. I’m critical of other people’s work. I’m self-critical too, but there is a way to have a logical conversation.”
Panipat, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, is slated to release on December 6, 2019.

In the recently released title track of the film, Hindu saints or Sadhus are seen dancing along with Salman and he even seeks blessings from three men dressed as Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. As per the outfit, this hurts the sentiment of Hindus and the imagery of the sadhus, as shown in the song, is derogatory for real sadhus.
Earlier, pictures of a shivling covered with wooden planks from the shooting spot of Dabangg 3 had surfaced on the internet, and the team had to clarify that it was done purposely to protect the shivling from any kind of damage. The makers are yet to open up on the latest controversy that cropped up.
Dabangg 3, helmed by Prabhu Dheva, is set to release on 20th December 2019.

The shooting of the film is going on at a brisk pace with reports suggesting that director Prabhu Dheva has got renowned actors from South Indian film industry to join the ensemble cast of the film. Bollywood Hungama has now learnt that Salman has signed a Korean Stunt team to design the action scenes in Radhe.

“Radhe is the official adaptation of Korean crime thriller, The Outlaws. The makers have retained the basic essence of the film, however turned around the screenplay to make it palatable for the Indian audience. Salman has advised his team to go all out on the action scenes, and that’s when they decided to get the Korean team on board for Radhe,” revealed a source close to the development.
The film is an high octane action thriller, and Salman will be seen portraying the role of Radhe for the third time in his career after Tere Naam and Wanted, however the film has got nothing to do with his previous two outings. “The Outlaws was appreciated for the stylized action, and likewise, Salman too wants to leave no stone unturned to get the action right. The film will ride on four to five action scenes which include a smoke fight, gun shoot-out, hand to hand fights and of course, a shirtless fight scene between the protagonist and antagonist i.e. Salman and Randeep,” the source added. Apart from the team from Korea, an Indian action director will also work on the film, primarily for the introductory fight scene of Salman. "Only an Indian action director would know the expectation of audience from Salman, and hence the makers will get the actors introductory scene designed by an Indian team."
Radhe marks the reunion of Salman and Randeep after working together in Kick and Sultan. However, this time around, they will be seen locking horns throughout the narrative. “Prabhudeva has aced the art of making the larger-than-life films with hero and villain, and likewise, there are ample of confrontational scenes between Randeep and Salman. The film will explore an altogether different side of their pairing,” the source informed.
For the titular role, Salman has been hitting the gym daily to get into the lean avatar. “This is his most stylish look till date, and Salman is working towards flaunting his six-pack abs on the screen,” the source concluded. The shoot of Radhe started with a dance number featuring Salman and Disha, which was shot for a period of 6 to 7 days. The film, which is produced by Atul Agnihotri, Sohail Khan and Salman Khan, is gearing up for Eid 2020 release and will lock horns with Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy, Laxmmi Bomb.

Soon after the backlash, the makers decided to snip the dialogue from the trailer and the film. Meanwhile, producer Juno Chopra and Kartik Aaryan reshot some portions of the song ‘Dilbara’ earlier this week.

After the backlash received over the trailer, the makers knew they had to handle the extramarital affair story in a more sensitive way. Juno Chopra wanted to be sensitive in his treatment of the topic and decided to add a few scenes in the song that shows Kartik’s character Chintu Tyagi repenting that he has hurt the feelings of two women.
Juno Chopra wrapped up the song on November 24 and said that when he saw the song on the edit table, he was sure that they needed to show the pain that Chintu Tyagi’s was feeling. He said that the film is more than just a comedy and his character had to showcase the anguish. So they turned the song around in less than 24 hours. He revealed that choreographer Vijay Ganguly and Mani Kandan, cinematographer, changed the energy of the track.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-series and Juno Chopra of BR Studios, Pati Patni Aur Woh is poised to release on December 6, 2019.

Varun Dhawan and the team were shooting a major stunt where a car is hung off the cliff in the outskirts of Pune. The actor was giving some close-up shots for the scene. After the filming was wrapped, Varun realized that the car door was jammed. While the stunt was rehearsed several times with the supervision of the stunt coordinators, it did not go as planned. Varun Dhawan was calm throughout the scene as the coordinators helped him get out of the vehicle which was hanging off the cliff. He escaped unhurt during the stunt scare incident.
Coolie No 1 stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan reprising Govinda and Karisma Kapoor’s roles from the 1995 blockbuster. It will also feature veteran actor Paresh Rawal, Javed Jaffrey and Sahil Vaid in pivotal roles. The film has been slated for May 1, 2020 release.

The promotions have been quite interesting till now. The trailer was out two months before the release of the film. Then the makers ditched the usual norm and released all the audio songs of the film first. And now they are unveiling the video of these songs one by one. This week, the much awaited song ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ will be out. And fans will be in for a treat as it has a nice little surprise!

A source close to the film explains, “The first part of Dabangg had the song ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ which was popular not just for Malaika Arora’s moves but also for lead actor Salman Khan’s entertaining dance steps. And the makers have ensured that Salman’s naughtiness comes out well in ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ too. In this regard, the makers have decided to make Salman Khan recreate the ‘Veena’ dance step, which has been immortalized by Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi. Interestingly, the megastar hasn’t done this dance move in many films but it has achieved a cult status. Actors like Allu Arjun, Vijay etc have also recreated the step. Recently, actress Rakul Preet Singh too did the same at an event.”
The source adds, “The makers thought it’ll be a nice way to pay tribute to Chiranjeevi and thereby appeal to the Telugu fans. Moreover, it went well with the mood of the film and persona of Chulbul Pandey. Salman Khan loved the idea when he was told to do the ‘Veena’ dance step. He did it energetically and everyone had a great time on the sets.”
And that’s not all. “There’ll also be a face-off between Salman Khan and Prabhudheva, also the director of the film. The only thing I can say about this bit is that both the face-off and ‘Veena’ step tribute will create frenzy in single screen theatres and even some multiplex screens. See it to believe it!” says the source before signing off.
Dabangg 3 also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar and Sudeep. It releases on December 20.

The song, which was shot on a lavish set in Mumbai with the four actors, has been sung by Badshah and Harrdy Sandhu. Keeping in with the name of the track, it will be launched today in Chandigarh by Akshay, Kiara, Badshah, Harrdy and Tanishk Bagchi. The creators of the song are confident that it has all the makings of a party anthem.

Akshay says, “I cannot wait to share the song and video of 'Chandigarh Mein' with everyone who loves music as much as I do. If there’s one song this year that could get me out of my sickbed, it’s this number. I was running high temperature while shooting it, which is unheard of for me, but the energy and passion that went into this song couldn’t keep me away. I don’t know whether I love the beat more or the lyrics. And it doesn’t matter because when you put them together, you have the party anthem of the year.” Praising Badshah and Harrdy, Akshay added, “They have killed it as always. I dare anyone to try and sit still through this song.” The film, which releases this Christmas, has been directed by Raj Mehta.

Zee Studios presents in association with Cape Of Good Films — a Dharma Productions Film, Good Newwz. Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan, the film releases on December 27.
