Melbourne diaries: Shabana Azmi poses with Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta Nanda, see photos

The 14th Indian Film Festival Melbourne commenced at Hamer Hall Arts Centre on August 10. Several celebrities were in attendance at the press conference and even at the awards night. Some of them were even enjoying some time off. Shabana Azmi also reached Melbourne as she is all set to be the Chief Guest and hoist the Indian flag in honour of the 77th Independence Day.

Ahead of the event, Azmi shared a series of photos on her Instagram, including with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Shweta Bachchan Nanda. Sharing the picture, the veteran actress wrote, “In Melbourne post dinner, which I joined straight from the airport! Enthu cutlet !!!”

In another post, she posed with Ghoomer trio Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher and Angad Bedi. She wrote, “So #AbhishekBachchan took SaiyamiKher #AngadBedi and me out to an Italian restaurant for lunch today ahead of the World Premiere of our film #Ghoomer directed by #R Balki at the Indian Film festival of Melbourne. Missing you #Balki . What a pity you had to opt out at the last minute because of H1N1 flu.Lunch was a riot.”
